This
summer has been Tribal Bliss with the talented and beautiful Samantha
Hasthorpe. She has taught an 8 week session - (4 classes per week) and
a number workshops at Studio 2000. ATS and Tribal Fusion have been the
styles. Myself and Debrajeenah (owner of Studio 2000) were proud to host
this visiting teacher. Anyone attending has thoroughly enjoyed and received
so much. Thanks Sam! Big Zhagareet!!!...see below for more information

Sam still has some space in her Saturday workshop Sept 16th - email
her is you are interested - Tribal Fusion 10am-1pm- her contacts are further

hey..dont forget this SATURDAY NIGHT!! Saturday Sept 16th
7:30pm at Studio 2000..marking the end of the summer of tribal madness!!!..bring
a dance..a dish..and yourselves..boogy the night away to some wikid tunes..share
a dance..improv chorus style..or try out some new turkish roman steps
from last weekend!!!
Belly Dance Show on September
29th
Dont forget to get your tikits for the Danse Du Ventre Menagerie at
the Duncan Garage Showroom on the 29th.Seats limited!!!! This show will
highlight dancers/instructors from the Valley and Nanaimo. A little
performance and then join in for some fun dancing. Tickets are $15 available
at the Bookstore on the ground level of the Duncan Garage.

Sunday September 17th 4-7pm
hello everyone,
I would like to invite everyone to come to Dreamshape Dance & Fitness
Studio at 3908 Saltair rd to have a chat with Charlie (my mom) about
Egypt were she has spent 8 months living and working. She has pictures
to show us and lots of info about Egypt and the traditions in the country.
She has brought back "quite" a few beautiful hip scarves which
we will be having a silent auction for with all money raised will be
sent to an orphanage in Egypt that she volunteered at before coming
home.

Performance Skills Workshop with Pamela Ball
Mercury Theatre, Duncan

Handouts will be provided, please bring your veil, zills and a light
lunch. (Famous deli is 2 mins away)
Pamela will share with dancers her knowledge and experience with a focus
on performance skills. You will be guided through various exercises
and movement activities to enhance personal creativity, body awareness
and performance mindset. This workshop will be beneficial to all levels
of dancers - learn tips and techniques so both you and your audience
experience the magic of this ancient and everchanging art form.

Coming in the New Year.....
Ghawazee Gypsy series with Faith Hunt....Faith has been teaching
various Gypsy Danceshops at Studio 2000 for the past two years. She
is a professional instructor/performer (Troupe Hipsteria)and oozes with
talent and ENERGY!!! Always fun and full of information. The intent
of this series is to create a dance and authentic costuming to be shared
at our Annual Summertime Hafla.....I will keep you posted.
